The Salvation Army's Red Kettles will be set up at both Porter's on December 5, 12 and 19. This fundraiser helps provide help for many people in the community. Local members in the community work with this organization very often to obtain help for many people in need. Covid-19 has resulted in many people not being able to pay their rent and utilities and to provide food for their families as well as those who find them unexpectedly stranded in Alpine. The money, including checks, that is put in the kettles is reserved for our community alone. There are no administrative costs taken from it.
Volunteers are needed to ring the bells on those days. Please consider volunteering on Saturdays from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM. It is easy to social distance, and it is fun to greet the people coming to shop!
