Residential Dumpsters are not a “Free for all” if you pay a City of Alpine trash bill. Residents are allotted 1 cubic yard per week of household trash.
Household waste (trash) -- Any solid waste (including garbage, trash, and sanitary waste in septic tanks) derived from households (including single and multiple residences, hotels and motels, bunkhouses, ranger stations, crew quarters, campgrounds, picnic grounds, and day-use recreation areas); does not include brush.
- Residential Dumpsters are for 1 - 4 households in the area they are located.
- All Dumpsters (commercial and residential) are for household trash ONLY!
- DIY projects trash (landscaping, household remodel, etc.) needs to be properly disposed of by the owner, or trash hauler at the landfill.
- Outside city limits residents who pay for sanitation permits are suggested to use the dumpsters North of City Hall. Sanitation permit holders may use any other residential dumpsters, but this may cause a space issue overtime.
Residents who have issues with the dumpsters in their neighborhood may reach out to the City of Alpine at: (432) 294-3183. Texas Disposal Systems and a City representative will carry out an inspection to resolve any issues that might arise with SPACE, ILLEGAL DUMPING, ETC.
